Fitteds are diapers that also need covers, as the entire diaper itself is absorbent and there is no waterproof outer layer. They have elastic in the legs and sometimes the back or front(depending on the brand), and they close with either snaps or Velcro. Fitteds usually have a soaker sewn into the center, but can also come with a pocket in the back to be used for extra absorbency. Some also have doublers(a liner on the inside of the diaper) attached to the inside of the diaper, or one that is removable. Or, both. Fitteds are made from a variety of materials from Hemp and Bamboo to Cotton and blends of each.
